Hi,

I have a two year old who is obsessed with Nemo.

I want to get a fairly simple, effective setup with a pair of clown fish for him.
Hoping I can get some help here. Maybe someone wants to upgrade and is willing to sell their setup at a decent price, a plug n play system would be ideal. I don't mind purchasing the livestock and fish separately.

A boyu tl550 is the ideal aquarium if you are beginning and just want to keep 'nemo'.
Or check out the for sale forum for good second hand deals. Where in sa are you?

He never said anything about keeping a regal or yellow tang. Only that he wants to keep a pair of clowns. A TL550 will be more than enough for this. Even a TL450 would do.

But yes, if his son decides he wants the full cast in there then a much, much bigger tank is needed.

Look in the for sale section. He is looking for a tank able to have a regal and a yellow tang. You are correct though, just the clowns and a 550 is aces. The other cool thing about second hand TL550's is they are very well priced.

The Clowns are the main stars, I wont be to fussed about the other two crazy fish.

Do they have a branch in Johannesburg ?

I am also considering the FOWLR (Fish with Live Rock) setup.

I think the TL550 would be ideal, not looking for anything to big. A pair of clown fish, a shrimp and maybe one or two other fishes that can live in harmony with the clowns.

Yes they got a new branch that's just opened in JHB.
He can get you going tank filters sand water rock fish the works.
