Can anyone please tell me how to get the skimmer out from a boyu tl450. It stopped working so i need to teke it out to see whats going on.

I got it to work but not properly. If i blew on the air line it work for maybe a hour and then stops agian. Need to take the whole thing out but cant figure out how:blush:

take out sponges inthe first compartment. the skimmer pump is just hooked into a hole at the bottom that connects to the skimmer in second chamber. can just wiggle it lightly and it should come out.

Did that still doesn't work after taking apart and putting it back togarther, but what I found was that is I connect a air pump to the breather line it make a huge amount of bubbles, so that's the quick fix till I figure out and get funds for a better skimmer which fits into the back compartment

@Dane G i did the same thing with mine. then i just decided to go buy a new skimmer for it. the tl550 skimmer fits in there after taking out the original skimmer + it is a lot better. cost me like if i am not mistaking R195 for that skimmer. was worth it:thumbup:. i am sure @bryancan hook you up or even @Andre@ReefAquatics or @Perky Pets Superstore will be able to assist

Awesome I just got a 299 quote for a WG308 hopefully a sponsor will have one for me

thats the right skimmer. i bought mine from jungle aquatics bcoz they were the only one closest to me that actually stocked it. ya my price could be a bit out but that sounds about correct price for that skimmer
