How do I connect my inverter?

Can you tell us what inverter you have? A pic perhaps of the rear?

Here you go. I have a terrible feeling I bought the wrong product!

I believe you still need a battery charger for this invertor.

We use similar looking ones for our ATM's and they need additional battery chargers.
This unit can receive power from the battery and put it out the front.

It doesn't seem this unit has a charging module.

Just looked at my receipt.
CZ-600S-12 not the
CZ-600S-12C

The C being for charger or charging module?

Thanks for helping Brentnorm :peroni:

I will contact the company. @WarrenElvis warned me that he received the wrong unit as well but I was too excited check properly. FML!

Thank you. It appears I have not received what I have paid for. Will need to return it and get the right one.

Sorry to hear bud. Was worried about that. Sometimes these guys don't pull the right stock from the shelves since they have thousands of products, been in their warehouse and its crazy and the only difference in the product code is the "C" so they could easily get it wrong, especially this time of the year when all one thinks about is going on leave;) But they should have gotten it right no excuse. Hope you come right bud

Thanks WarrenElvis. They said no problem. They brought the first one to PMB and they will bring the second one next week. Didn't charge for delivery and really friendly so I don't mind.

Wow they do have good service, getting it to you to pmb as well is a bonus. Also check bud, with the first one you received did you get cables to connect to the battery. The one thing i noticed with mine was that i had to adjust the hole size on the cable lug. It fits the pin on the inverter but depending on the terminals on your battery you might have to make the lugs bigger or you could also get an adapter. Had to do it with mine.
Also when you connect to battery just remember not to have the inverter connected to the mains while you connecting the cables from inverter pins to the battery terminals battery.

And lastly when connecting the cables to battery *NB* always connect live(red) first and then Neutral(black) second and then the opposite when you have to disconnect

Awesome. Will do thanks.

Hi Guys,

I am looking for something like this as well.

Saw these at Builders Warehouse. http://www.ellies.co.za/index.php?i...ht=ajaxSearch_highlight+ajaxSearch_highlight1

What does the 1200W mean - can it run up to 1200W worth of equipment? Is this overkill or better than say a 600W model?

What battery/ies woudl need to be used with this and where can they be purchased? How long does a battery last (I know it depends on what equipment is running so assume 1x300W heater, return pump and 2 Sun Sun flow pumps).

This UPS cost around R2800 at Builders Express - is this a fair price or are their cheaper options?

Thanks,
