Hi all

I have brown Scopus tang and he does not leave the other fish alone and i am warred about them getting ich because of the stress btw he's the biggest fish in the tank is there any thing i can do besides getting rid of him

they say feeding nori can calm tangs down, will look for where i read this
also place a mirror on the glass outside near his main terroitry and see if that helps

Get some Garlic, the one from seachem and soak the nori in it, and feed more nori than frozen food... The Mirror part... still need to try out...

what size tank is he is? you could try rescape the aquarium too.

900*600*600

but wont rescaping stress the others out even more

i failed to menshion the i added new addition to the tank a Banner fish he eats pellets and any thing but the Scopus keeps on attaching him i have removed him from the tank and put him in the sump because i stated to see white spot 3 hours later after, i put him in i still need to get the QT tank running tonight

I see the tank is 950 x 600 x 600... How much live rock do you have in the tank? Is there enough place for all the fish to hide? Maybe add some live rock and build more caves for them to hide...

plenty of hiding places the tang just does not like him or any thing else my regal takes betting some time's and is always hiding in the rocks but how the hell do catch that bugger hes lighting fast if some one can catch him u can have him for free

I`ll catch him:tt2: Get some egg crate wait till the bugger goes to sleep, and box him in... I did it with a aggro tang... you build a cage like they use to shark dive... but it needs to be big... cage him it the DT for a week or two... he will calm down after that...

not bad idea

i what to see u catch him with out destroying the scaping

building the egg crate is gr8 idea but he sleeps @ the back under a rock to get the cage in there is gana be a bit difficult

Scopas tangs - so pretty, but so aggressive!

I had to remove my scopas, and put him in qt for 4 weeks to get a yellow in. After the 4 weeks,i put him back. He still fights with my yellow, but not as much.

Hope you win.

if he keeps on with his shit i am gonna flash him down the toilet

and that bugger is so fast its hell of thing to catch him

and to top it off hes the biggest in the tank
im assumeing you are using a figure of speach and not the litteral meaning here!
