Waterproof seal

Hi Guys

Id like to know what you guys use to make the seal waterproof. Ive been supplied with a flage rubber seal (pink) and a cusion rubber.

Will this seal or should I replace with a rubber seal from the hardware or apply silicone over the rubber to seal.
will the rubber not deteriorate in salt water.

The pink rubber is meant to seal the inside and the black rubber is to cusion the outer nut. There is another nut similar to the one on the left which cannot be seen clearly on the pic

i just applied a small amount of silicone to the seal just in case.

I've got the same tank connectors - was going to use silicone just for added safety...

Shot.. did u use the rubber (pink) as well or just silicone straight onto the nut.

I have two black rubber seals - nothing pink...

I haven't put them on as yet as I am still busy with the tank, etc...

use the pink one too

rubber will deteriorate if you want along lasting seal use viton from bearing man and yes use some marine silicone around the seal

Has anyone tried silicon grease like we use on scuba gear would it afect any of the LS
