Hi can anyone tell me where I could find 39W ballasts for my t5 bulbs. I am based in cape town and I have tried alot of electrical wholesalers with no luck. I have 6 bulb and need to know how much bulbs those ballast can take

Contact B.A.G. they sorted me out in a day or 2, I have a ballast that can run 24w, 39w and 54w..cost around R170 and runs 2 tubes...

Sandersc, the make of the ballast is BAG, you can find them at plumbstead electrical.I also have a make called Tridonic. You can buy them in single or double ballasts. I have 54w doubles and made up my own unit. I will post a pic.

Neat job, but I don't like the ballasts being inside the lid. They will corrode fast and will lead to extra heat load.

Sims, you are not the fist person to say this, but these lights have been running for two years and have not given me any trouble.

you could also try eagle lighting in maitland, I am trying to remember the place I got the BAG ballasts from, it is in main road woodstock/obs just after coricraft going towards cape town on the right hand side.

Thanks guys I managed to find some at Osram in Montegue Gardens, Got plubstead electrical to order them for me, I just had to pick them up myself to get it immediately otherwise I had to wait till next week for them. Cant wait to get started
