Did anyone use potassium carbonate before? I read that this boosts your alk and this also doses some K. Seems better to use this instead of sodium carbonate because the sodium is not used (or so we think). So this could be a two part supplement.. Any input?

Seriously? Did you buy a bulk bag or are you using tartar salt? Also what test kit are you using for potassium?

... So you are using the bulk stuff? I can get the 25kg bag from protea chem. Does K carbonate have the same effect on alk as Baked bicarb? 
Potassium carbonate is one of 4 components within the local additive Pure Reef Supplements kH Buffer as it maintains alkalinity better than Sodium carbonate, avoids imbalances due to sodium accumulation as well as adding Potasssium which is well known to assist with coral colours especially SPS.

Im using the 500G box wich is R80
will phone and find out how much a bag is. Sure its pretty cheap
Not quite sure what you mean here? the chemical is KCO3, so 1 potasssium for every carbon and 3 oxygen molecules?
alkalinity wise it would add the same as sodium carbonate, use it in same way as NaCO3.
