I got thi one as a white sceleton a few months back....bought some lr from exotics...after a few weeks i noticed some groth on it that didnt look like algea...up closer look i saw all these feelers coming out of it ...i moved it to this location in the tank and walla...after a while it turned to brown an i thought it died...only to c later on that it is actualy growing...
gr8 isnt it..?

Yes it is a amaizing feeling...makes one proud ...tel me.. i never kept or even tried to keep lps's if this sps revived you think i can give it a go....?

Hi here is a new pic taken this morning 4 weeks later...the coral is bussy changing shape and growing seems like pointed crowns...i'm adding a t5 fitting in 2 weeks...will this coral do even better under more light?...as its use to t8's at this time...

yip got the exact same in my tank thanks to @Slagter who id it as encrusting montipora it gets little polyps from the white spots on it. Mine was on the same kind of skeleton. Check my tank thread to see mine

Yes i see the same...thanx..seems they get quite big...got a nother one gone green..small though fell in behind some rocks will see what hapend to it when i move in 2 weeks...

Sorry for the hijack plus stupid question but the skeleton that it grows on, is that its owns skeleton and the tissue deteriorated or is it another corals skeleton @459b

i have in a few places once or twice. but not the entire coral, they look like mini star polyps.

Heliopora has dark blue, sponge-like in appearence skeleton. THe bit showing in the pic is from old deteriorated coral.
