Magman be generous and send a few my way :)

Magman you lucky bugger - Now I am sorry I left Durban!! maybe one day I will return

Maybe we need to do a trip down to the cost a few of us vaalies!!! some people go on golf weekends away & or diving we go on marine life hunting weekends lol

They also had a small piece of LR with 3 little mushrooms a while back for about R700

Where is this shop?

In Pretoria?

Something else, in Balito last week I only saw two hermits for the week. The reddish ones with the one big claw and the claw bottom part is white.

ya they def do look like the local ones.. but i could be mistaken..
i have recently seen red legged and blue legged hermits at R35.

i even asked the guys who work there if maybe it was a misprint and got swiftly shat upon by the manager telling me she was insulted that i could even ask such a question..
and i was asking in a really nice way.. so..

on that note. if anyone is selling hermits at a reasonable price please PM me.. i'm looking for around 20..

at the price listed above it would cost me the same to drive to durbs. buy a permit and bring a whole bunch back up myself..

Park Rynie, just south of Scotsburg. There are 100's. Mostly only 2 types.
Dark greenish one with yellow dots on feet
Then those reddish ones with one big white claw.

But your permit allow you to take out 15 a day. So for the Friday to Sunday you got 45. More than enough.
While busy there check out for Nerita snails. Nice small and reef safe.

Where is Lifestyle?

think they are locally caught (which I also thoiught was illegal ;))
It is highly illegal. If you suspect a shop is selling locally caught livestock you can request to see their import permits which will list in detail all of the stock they have brought in, as far as I know they are required by law to produce their import permits when requested to do so. Or contact the authorities.

Guys
The hermits probably come from Kenya, same species as here, as far as i know.

The only guys that need permits are the importers, most LFS's get their stock from the importers and therefore most do not need these.

Yes quite right, although some shops do import themselves, this applies to liverock as well.
