Howsit ppl! Are there any dwarf angels that can be kept in a 15g nano?

I wouldn't put a dwarf angel in such a small tank personally

In my experience dwarf angels enjoy as much swimming space as normal angels and even tangs. My flameback was one of the most active fish in the tank, making full use of the 8ft tank he was in.

hello LRS, welcome to MASA always great to have people here:)

Can you tell us a little about your tank (or tanks??) and your experience, we love to share experiences and advice on here.

to be honest that tank would be way too small for a fish like an angel, nanos really are not suited to very active swimmers like angels (dwarf or full sized)

Tnx guys, guess no angels for me then! Crispin I had a 3ft a few years ago, fish only, was surprisingly successful considering it had an UG filter. Had to get rid of it unfortunately as I had to go study after school, but now that I'm working I've setup a 60x30x30 nano with 7kg liverock,4 x t5s, hang on filter for carbon, 1000l/h powerhead for movement. So far its got a small perc clown and some mushrooms in it.

LRS i'm gonna ask one of our friendly mods to move this thread into new members so we all get to hear about your nano:)

that tank sounds nice, has it been running long?

Welcome to MASA LRS! Please post us some pics of your setup, we love 'em ;)

welcome lrs i'm also setting up a similar sized nano, try getting yourselt a small royal gramma or some purple firefish and maybe a couple fire cleaner shrimps say two.

what filtration are you using?i'm using a noisy old in tank jebo skimmer which i converted to a hang on lol and some live rock.

pics please man;)

Jacquesb- jip will continue here! Tnx for the welcome guys! The tank is about 2.5mnths old now, all going well touch wood. Will post pics after I've moved house and tank has settled again, I'm planning on changing a few things seeing that I'm moving the tank anyway. Falcon- a royal gramma is defs on my to get list, I just can't seem to find one. With this tank I want to keep things as simple as possible,so no fancy equipment for me! Filtration is by means of liverock and then I do a waterchange once a week.

Oh and i also have 4 hermits in there to take care of the crappy jobs.

Welcome to the forum LRS.

Got any pics of your tank?

i came across one for the first time in my life about a year ago and it was a beautiful healthy small one and at steal(around R180 if i remember correctly) but unfortunately when i put it into my 550lt DT my six line tried to kill it within minutes...had to remove it and after five days in the sump i returned it:(

how i hate that six line wrasse!!and i still cant get him out without breaking down evrything...

when i had my nano( pics still in nano section) i had a bicolour in it ,and now he is in my four footer. the trick is to build your liverock so that it can snoop around. just be aware that dwarf angels tend to pick at polyps esp green ones

Look I'm tempted, the whole reason I wanted to go marine is to have a jumping bean again, but I'll rather not take a chance! My wishlist will be bicolor blenni and a sixline wrasse or a royal gramma.
