Dunno where to place this thread. Mods, feel free to move.

It is with great sadness that I have to let you all know that Herkie passed away last night.....

We all know him as the great plan maker and huge DIY'er.

I spoke to him just before he died yesterday afternoon and am still in shock.....

Herkie, you are going to be missed... All over as you made friends with every single one you came into contact with.

My sencere condolences to his family

LET THIS BE A WARNING TO ALL OF US.

WE ALL HAVE EXPERIENCE STRAY CURRENT IN OUR TANKS SOME TIME OR ANOTHER AND DID NOTHING ABOUT THAT.

Herkie did, and it cost him his life, Yesterday afternoon he phoned me, after the call, he went to work on his sump to sort the electricity issue. Nelia found him a short while later with his arm still in the sump.
Yes, the earth leakage did trip in the house, but too late.

Please, let us not take chances with electricity and water together
