Yip, a picture could help us identify a possible problem.
Did you change anything about your lighting recently. (replaced bulbs / increased intensity / moved coral higher?)

No nothing was changed! Checked water parms and all in check! Could my cleaner shrimp be the cuase?

First time ive seen a monti turn that color... Looks like a fungi infection or something (not that ive ever seen that on a sps...)

I have a green plating monti that has for the second time started to get white patches on parts of the coral both times i have checked my alk and it was low at 6 dhk - 7 dhk.. could be one of the reasons

then when i added something to get the alk back up took few days and was green and back to normal colour

Did you pour RO water (or any other sources of freshwater) on it?
I almost lost my first monti because I did an iodine dip with RO when I got it...:whistling:

@459b I also thought of physical damage as the white appeared over nite! My suspect was the cleaner shrimp. Just a thought, did a water test and every thing is ok!
