Hi all, my clownfish fry seem to die after 3 weeks and after close observation I realised that it seems to be some sort of a skin disease (maybe ich) which is causing this. The disease seems to attack them post metamorphism when they start to develop into tiny fishes (I take it the disease cant attack them when they are smaller). My last attempt I managed to raise 60 fry to 3 weeks but then one evening (last week Thurday ) i noticed that they all had a skin disease. The next morning @ least 90% died overnight and I now have 1 left which is even struggling live.

My thinking is that the water from the display tank which I use for daily water changes contains a parasite which is killing them. So my question for is:
1. What is the best way to sterilise the water before moving it into the fry tank. (Can I microwave it or use UV?)
2. Can I use Freshly made Saltwater instead of my display tank water for the water changes?

Any input will be appreciated

Just been informed that the last one has died, the picture won't really show anything as they lose color shortly after dying.

Sorry for your disappointing losses..
Hope you manage to get the next fry past 3 weeks.

You could maybe try a WC of half tank water, half new mix?

Not clued up in raising fry, so just a guess..
