Hi Reefers

so my current tank is getting too small for my liking.thinking of getting somthing a bit bigger.

planning on building a 1500x600x600 rimless reef.

need some advice though, can i use toughend glass 10mm for this build?

any help app....
thnx

toughhend as in tempered ? if it is tempered you will not be able to use it as tempered glass has les flex than normal glass, it also doesnt just crack when it fails like normal glass, it shatters.

yeah probably is tempered cause the guy said(salesman) it does not crack it shatters

so would normal glass work if it is rimless and i use 10mm thick glass?

ok used this aquatools calculator,it says 10mm is safe at 2.5 watever
wat is starphire glass and where can i buy it?
Rather work it out on 3.8...that will then be 12mm thickness...

Safety Factor
The variability of the strength of glass due to limitations of the manufacturing process means a suitable safety factor must be used when calculating glass thickness. The factor commonly used is 3.8. While not a perfect guarantee, it will remove all risk bar that of damaged or very poor quality glass.
