I've noticed that my LTA becoming very white during the past week. The coralline on my LR also turned white. I've been doing marine for 11 months now, but Anemone's for a month
All my parameter were fine excepted the temperature. So during the past week I slowly got it down to 25/26. It as about 30 a week ago. I bought the tank from someone else with the Anemone's in it. I have the tank for 6 weeks now. So bleaching started on week 5. I've changed my 2 x T8's to 2 x T5's about 4 weeks ago. Could it be the sudden light intensity?
I went to a few LFS over the weekend and they recommend Purple Up for the coralline, dosing it every day. And then Special Blend for to better water conditions. I also give Fuel as food twice a week.
I feed my Anemone's twice a week mussel, calamari or fish. About 4-5 small pea size bits. I've read on other forum's that only 1 pea size of food per feeding. They don't have gaping mouths before a feeding and there is also no expulsion of the stomachs contents. The LTA is a bit smaller than normal and not fully opened. The other White Magnificent Anemone doesn't look bleached.
Must I continue feeding as per normal? Or feed less per feeding, but more often?
For how long must I use the Purple up?
